The stunning debut album by These New Puritans is released on 28th of January. It’s sure to whip up frenzied excitement as they are fast gathering acknowledgement as one of the brightest young band’s to emerge in recent years.
Recorded alongside Gareth Jones – the producer of albums by Einsturzende Neubauten, Liars and Wire – its songs are an ever-mutating blur of brash chords, subtle details, and taut rhythms, borne of influences as disparate as Sonic Youth and dubstep, This Heat and Greek pottery, David Lynch and Dr Feelgood, J Dilla and the 16th century occultist John Dee.
These New Puritans have already been featured in the highly coveted ‘Mojo Rising’ section of January’s MOJO magazine. They have also been added to the NME Brats
