Ajax FireProtect 2 (Heat | Smoke |CO)
The Ajax FireProtect 2 with smoke, temperature, and CO (carbon monoxide) sensors, offers a new level of technology in residential fire safety, with sophisticated software which minimizes false alarms.
The dustproof smoke chamber is impenetrable to insects and the optical sensor only identifies products of combustion in the air. It can also determine the size of the volatile particles inside the chamber and respond only to smoke, ignoring vapour and steam.
FireProtect 2 is fitted with two class A1R thermistors to detect smokeless fire threats. This will detect a 10 C increase in temperature within a minute, and/or temperatures exceeding +64 C.
Carbon monoxide is a gas that has no odour, taste or colour. Burning fuels such as gas, wood, propane or charcoal make carbon monoxide. Too much carbon monoxide in the air can lead to serious tissue damage, or even death. The FireProtect 2 has a built-in chemical sensor that detects low concentrations of CO (50 ppm) before poisoning can occur.
CO alarm goes off at:
- 50 ppm in no more than 90 minutes
- 100 ppm in no more than 40 minutes
- 300 ppm in no more than 3 minutes
FireProtect 2 is equipped with a powerful 85 dB siren and the smoke chamber does not require regular cleaning.
