The third pole can be wired to control an LED status light or other custom function.
The triple pole switch allows you to wire in an on/off indicator led, if desired, while the Dpdt does not.
It's also a very tough switch that will last a very long time
There are a total of 9 lugs on each switch, three per pole.
AT least 7/8 inch depth and 1/2 inch-diameter mounting hole are required. the threaded portion is 7/16 inch tall.
