Important Use and Installation Notes
- Install in Direct Sunlight
Install each light where the solar panel can receive several hours of direct sunlight. Avoid shade from roofs, trees, walls, gutters and nearby buildings.
- Charge Before First Use
Place the lights in direct sunlight for one full day before first use to help the internal batteries charge properly.
- Lighting Time Will Vary
Actual lighting time depends on sunlight strength, season, weather, installation angle, battery condition, selected mode and motion sensor activity.
- Check the Lighting Modes
The three modes provide different standby and motion-activated lighting behaviour. Test the selected mode after installation to confirm that it suits the intended area.
- Sensor Performance May Vary
Motion detection may be affected by installation height, angle, moving direction, temperature, obstacles, surrounding light and distance from the sensor.
- Do Not Immerse in Water
The lights are intended for normal outdoor splashes and light rain. Do not immerse them in water or install them in areas where standing water may collect.
- Install on a Stable Surface
Fix the lights to a strong wall, post or other stable structure. Adjust the lighting angle before fully tightening the mounting screws.
- Clean and Inspect Regularly
Keep the solar panel free from dust, leaves and water marks. Check the mounting screws after strong wind or heavy rain, and keep the lights away from braai heat, flames and other high-temperature areas.
