The 1598ASGY is a high-quality desktop instrument enclosure constructed from flame-retardant ABS plastic, designed for housing electronic assemblies such as control systems, data loggers, and communication modules. It features brushed aluminum end panels and is finished in a light grey, matte-textured body for a professional appearance.
This enclosure is engineered with two sets of vertical 1.5 mm PCB card guides and integrated horizontal PC card mounts on Eurocard centers. The top and bottom shells include molded-in PCB standoffs requiring #6 × 1/4" (6.4 mm) screws (orderable as part number 1598ATS100).
The halves are joined using M3 × 10 mm Phillips machine screws threaded into brass inserts, allowing for repeated assembly and disassembly without degradation-ideal for field maintenance or prototyping. The design offers IP54-rated protection, shielding internal electronics from dust and splashing water.
