The 1553DYLBKBAT is a soft-sided ABS plastic handheld enclosure, ergonomically designed for comfort and ideal for portable electronic applications. With external dimensions of 147 x 89 x 24 mm, this enclosure includes a built-in battery compartment and a soft yellow overmold for improved grip and handling.
Molded from general purpose ABS plastic with UL94 HB flammability rating, the enclosure features a recessed top ideal for membrane keypads or displays, as well as integrated PC board standoffs for convenient internal mounting. A removable front panel and assembly hardware are included for easy modifications.
The built-in battery door includes 4 clips for 2x AA batteries and one clip for a 9V (PP3) battery. Designed for IP54-rated applications, this enclosure is perfect for handheld instruments or control devices where portability, battery access, and soft ergonomics are important.
