Nigiro Dang Gui Oolong Tea brings together the refined world of Taiwanese oolong with one of the most respected herbs in traditional Chinese culture. Dang Gui, often referred to as Chinese Angelica Root, has been valued for over a thousand years across China, Japan, and Korea for its unique aroma, distinctive root-like sweetness, and its traditional role in supporting overall wellbeing.

This tea begins with semi-fermented, high quality oolong leaves, carefully processed to preserve their smooth texture and layered complexity. The leaves are then delicately scented with Dang Gui root, allowing the herb's natural earthy sweetness and deep, aromatic character to infuse the tea. The result is an unusual yet harmonious blend where the richness of oolong is balanced by the grounding, slightly sweet notes of Dang Gui.

A tea like this appeals to those who appreciate depth, history, and the subtle art of combining tea and herbs. It carries with it the quiet sophistication of traditional craftsmanship and the deep respect for the natural world that runs through centuries of Chinese tea culture.

Serving suggestion:

We recommend brewing oolong tea with water at around 85 degrees Celsius. Steep the tea for approximately 3 minutes, then taste to see if the strength suits your preference. If you desire a stronger brew, you may steep it for another minute or two. Use a teapot with an infuser for best results. If a teapot is not available, an infuser ball, infuser cup, or a fine mesh strainer will also work well. For each serving, use about 3 to 4 grams of loose leaf tea, or roughly one teaspoon. This tea may be steeped a second time; simply extend the brewing time to draw out the remaining flavour.
